SURVIVAL COFFEE

For all you coffee lovers, there is an easy solution for making your morning JOE when the power is off.

As long as you have boiling, some coarse ground coffee and a FRENCH PRESS, you are good to go.

For those of you who are not familiar with a French Press, check out www.http://coffeegeek.com/guides/presspot. French Presses make an absolutely delicious cup of coffee.

My favorite French Press maker is Bodum. Here are 3 different Bodum Presses at 3 different price points.

Now for a low price alternative. I was at IKEA a few days ago and found an inexpensive French Press for $12.97. It is an 8 cup press. It worked very well both times I have used it. The plunger and screen looked just like the more expensive Bodum Presses. My only concern is the plastic handle connection. It should be okay unless abused.
